About Me
My name is Hannes Vaht. I am Artisan and product design student at Turku University of Applied Sciences (Finland), currently I'm doing my internship at CasimirMeublen and Vlaemsche in Belgium. I was born in Estonia, lived most of my life in Finland, stayed for a period of time in France and ended up here in Hasselt, Belgium.
My previous training in arts and crafts and cabinet making, helps me to create beautiful furniture for my customers. I would say I have strong, sleek and clear Scandinavian sense of style.I loves good quality and genuine materials. As I was born on year 81, I have worked as a teacher and renovator, served in army, where I earned my 2nd Ltn. degree. I have been a leader of a scout group and often find myself in some representative position. These activities have taught me a great deal of responsibility and teamwork. I like to work long days to gain the best possible result. I could easily describe myself as social and active.
As I am able to produce real furniture and understand the structure and material behavior, I can produce more realistic and functional pieces of work. I am especially keen in 3D modelling and making mockups.
Activities like hiking, photographing, sitting behind my laptop, preparing and eating good food and doing variety of sports, gives me a great pleasure. I consider myself to have fluent English.
